About the
SkyRank Database:
The SkyRank System of Hedge Fund
Ratings automates analysis of hedge funds in a
single functional computation. It analyzes the
hedge fund industry to reward hedge funds that are
established, credible and consistent performers,
demonstrated by their ability to exploit market
inefficiencies.
SkyRank utilizes a unique
formula-generating system to reveal a simple rating to
the investor in three forms:
+
Absolute SkyRank, which encapsulates 13
interconnected formulas to calculate one number ranging
between 0 and 5 to rate hedge funds.
+
Lettered SkyRank, which translates the
numerical rating into a letter ranging between A+ and E.
+
Relative SkyRank is an adaptation of
Absolute SkyRank, and displays the relative
attractiveness of a hedge fund when compared to others
in a peer group.
SkyRank was the first to rate hedge
funds in the industry, and currently rates over 6,000
hedge funds, funds of funds and CTAs using Morningstar®
data. SkyRank clients
number in the hundreds and include pension funds,
family offices, stock exchanges, insurance companies,
investment advisors, brokers, high net worth investors,
hedge funds, funds of funds and state treasurers.
